Sounds good - I recently had a bottle of rapeseed oil from the deli in Alford which was very good. It wasn't scottish though - http://www.farrington-oils.co.uk/about.html so I'm glad to see a more local one still... given the amount of the stuff that is grown locally I'm sure there could be an even more local source!!

Yep, I have a bottle of that oil, too. But of course I would prefer to buy local(ish)..

And to me, that shop in Banchory... Thing is, I have so much oil in the house that'll last me the next 5 years at least!

Ola Oil are launching their cold-pressed rapeseed oil at the Taste of Grampian event at Thainstone on 7th June. They are somewhere near Inverurie.

I bought some Ola Oil in the Green Grocers in Inverurie today. A bit expensive at £4.95 for a 500ml bottle, but worth a try and it should be a lot better taste than ordinary rapeseed oil.

Yes, I've never been before so am looking forward to it too. I think the food producers up here have got something to be proud of.

I think that's about what I paid for the other British rape seed oils, too.
