finally getting to vist CATThe sad news is that I am visiting my Uncle in Hereford who is dying from Brain cancer. However, since it is so far to travel then Ive decided to take an extra day off and go and visit CAT in wales which I have long wanted to do.
has anyone been recently? There seems to be a lot to see. I'll be staying in Machynlleth for two nights and I'll have the whole day there. Travelling by train and taking the folding bike for transport.

just got back tonight. I really enjoyed my visit and met some great people. I managed to fill 2 days there and there was a bike workshop from the otesha project as well which was good. (http://otesha.org.uk/)
the Wise building is still ongoing but shaping up nicely. I managed to see behind the scenes of the new CHP system and the new electricity control room for it as well and is really interesting.
If you thinking of going down that way at any point then I can certainly recommend a visit (taking the train and foldiing bike worked out well for me).
