Fab collection of books for childrenhttp://www.thefoodiesbooks.com/I've just found this site via my myspace account and am very impressed with the ideas behind the books. Anything that encourages children to grow food; to get outside; to eat seasonal and local fruit and veg etc just has to be a good thing. You can read the May book online and in my view it's been well written, the illustrations are fab and funky and certainly the sort that would entertain my son. The idea of recipes and info about the vegetable at the end of the book along with comments from children is great. The website also has downloadable resources that could be used at home or in the classroom, along with links to other useful sites for children, oh and adults too. |
