Everyday Hand Cream

Everyday Hand Cream

2 Tablespoons of white beeswax
3 teaspoons of anhydrous lanolin
3 teaspoons of cocoa butter
2 teaspoons of avacado oil
2 tablespoons of liquid parafin
2 teaspoons of glycerine
2 tablespoons of orange flower water
half a teaspoon of borax
4 drops of essential sandalwood oil

Method:

The only sure way of preventing chapped red hands is to wear rubber or cotton gloved when washing up and cleaning.

Many people find these cumbersome so the next best thing is to apply a light penetrating cream everytime the hands have been in water.

The cream should be rubbed in left to be absorbed for a few minutes then any excess wiped away.

Dissolve the borax in the orange flower water

Melt the wax, lanolin and cocoa butter seperately.

Then measure them into a basin over a pan of simering water, blend in the parafin, glycerin and avacado oil.

Remove from heat, stirring continuously, add the orange flower water and sandalwood oil.

Keep stirring until the mixture cools and begins to thicken, then transfer the creme to a screw top jar, cover with a circle of kitchen foil and secure the lid.
