eucalyptus treeMy mum has one of these in her garden and it's almost as tall as the house - is there a 'best way' to prune it? How much can you chop off without ruining the tree, and is it possible to take cuttings at the same time.

Chop it down completely! They're designed to be burnt to the ground in forest fires every few years and they spring back with amazing vigour. My mum used to have one at our old house. It was amazing how hard you could 'prune' it .
