Creative Waste Exchange eventsThe Creative Waste Exchange will be hosting more courses over the summer months and we are also extending our open Saturdays to twice a month until October!6 weeks Back to Basics Sewing Our popular sewing course will be running again from Thursday 12th July until Thursday 16th August, 6.30 - 8.30pm. The course starts with threading a sewing machine and progresses to zips, hemming and much more. Bring your own sewing machine or learn on one of ours, refreshments are provided. The course is £60 and payment must be made in advance. 10 week Upholstery Course Our upholstery course will also be running again from Thursday 26th July until Thursday 27th September, 6.30 - 8.30pm. Participants begin by stripping a piece of furniture before building it back up under the supervision of our professional upholsterer. Bring along that old piece of furniture which you thought was headed for the dump and give it a new lease of life! The course is £100 and payment must be made in advance. Saturday Open Days 7th July 10am - 2pm, good quality, low cost office furniture, stationery, gardening resources and arts and craft materials available. 14th July 10am - 2pm, our composting guru will be available for hints and tips on composting. 4th August 10am - 2pm 18th August 10am - 2pm 1st September 10am - 2pm, the Grampian Real Nappy Officer will be on hand to give advice about real nappies. 15th September 10am - 2pm 6th October 10am - 2pm 3rd November 10am - 2pm 1st December 10am - 2pm Gardening Resources We have had various sizes of substantial transport crates donated which we have turned into excellent planters, see the photo attached. Prices range from £10 - £25 for the crates. We still have many pallets and other lengths of timber which can be used for many different gardening projects over the summer months.
