Craft get togethersMaria and I (am always starting posts this way aren't I   ) were talking about up and coming basket making (  )and started to talk about a making potions craft night too. Maybe we could identify some things people want, mosituriser, cleaning stuff, remedies etc. Get some recipes and share out the ingredients list, bring our bottles jars, have a go and all take our lovely smellies home afterwards.
We also had anothert good idea but I've forgotten it!
I fancy a sewing one too. I have a sewing machine and a book all about sewing and would love to be able to even work the thing!!! (Terrified of sewing teacher at school, major loss of confidence) BUT now a growing ambition to be able to make something. OH and I got a bobbin somethinged successfully but then not quite working after avery taxing afternoon once. Got so close but then not quite there.

good idea we need to start getting organised , is it basket weaving etc at marias at the end of this month, we need to start discussing a suitable evening /day and also the ingredients, ive got loads of rods we can mess around with, which i will put into soak about 7 days before the occasion  
i love the other ideas though keep them coming

Craft IdeasYup, think it's Maria's at end of month.
Looking forward to the baskets! Been looking at others all over the place. Got a gardening catalogue from Lakeland yesterday, didn't know they did gradening, good inspiration but not buying. Thay had a hedgehog house made from willow, igloo style. Was rather nice!!!!
Still trying to remember the other craft idea. Sure Maria will remember if she reads this later?

We have regular sewing/soft furnishing classes here which are free and involve wine and cackling and chocolate/cake. The next is almost full but have one place left if you're interested.

This is something I've been meaning to do for ages. Got sewing machine here - in fact I've got three! 1 electric, 2 manual and would love to have some basic courses here. Hope we can organise something soon.

Crafting,Oh thanks Jo! I think this time I'll go for WG's, on account of being a beginner and maybe other beginners here and closer by BUT yours sound wonderful!!! Maybe Wg's can get as far as cake and wine too if enough of us later. (A sewing machine and wine??? I could be dangerous! )

No, seriously can think - we do chitter about a lot of things. I think extending the crafty evenings if a fab idea...and in different areas too. Will go and have a peek at June craft group now and put a poll for a day.

CraftsLOL!!! Probably, I need to do one. Did someone find a clay supplier, my class gets it from Alistair Kettles, says cheap postage but no idea, haven't looked yet.
I keep thinking you said some kind of cookery one???? When I talked about potions recipes????
Not sure now.
