Anyone have a tried and tested recipe for chocolate and beetroot cake please? One that lives up to the reputation for being gooey and fudgey?

Here is the link to the recipe for Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall's Beetroot Brownies that he made on one of his programmes a couple of weeks ago, must admit they looked yummy, although I've not tried this recipe yet...

Green & Blacks Chocolate Beetroot cake is the one that I make, over and over again. Scrummy! The Green & Blacks website used to have the recipe on it but it appears to have changed, but here's one from STV. I've never tried it with any icings, but a big dollop of vanilla ice cream doesn't go amiss!

Thanks also Townie but I did need a tried and tested recipe this time as one I tried before was awful

and I'm wary as G&B chocolate so expensive so I don't like to waste!

I popped along to my local farmshop yesterday and picked up some fresh beetroot... going to make the HFW Chocolate beetroot Brownie's today, will let you know how they turn out

The brownies are absolutely gorgeous yum yum..yummmmmm

Would def make these again, there was no waste from the beetroot skins as the dogs scoffed them
