Just a bit out of my price league but sounds interesting. I really can't see how this is getting the bad publicity though - you can get a 750 ml bottle of spirits at twice the alcohol content for half the price so can't see it being at the top of the list for someone just wanting to get drunk.

Just had some of their Zeitgeist beer (well not just this moment) and I really like that - special offer discount on their website too if you enter the code SHEEP.

the whisky industry wont be happy me thinks and we know how important that is to some very influential people
im not a whisky manufacturing fan im afraid, i par it morally with heroin manufacturers and dealers, and i certainly not proud that our country is involved in it, never mind running the show.
but thats my opinion
its hard to miss the evidence that whisky causes in scotland, especially as it is made to appear such a right and normal thing to do

Hmmm... quite like a dram myself (having one right at the moment actually

TBH, I can't quite see what the fuss is over a ten quid bottle of alcohol that's 18% or whatever... you get wine and spirits that are as strong/stronger which people would go for rather than that kind of beer.

Not quite sure what an alcoholic would prefer... something to get them p*ssed ASAP, or to be able to continue drinking many bottles getting slowly drunk all day long?

In any case... most of the alcoholics that I've heard about generally had a bottle (or two) of spirits per day, alongside the beer, and I can't see them looking at a cheap bottle of vodka/whisky and then at a bottle of beer and choosing the expensive beer instead.

Oh, and on the whisky front, I seriously doubt that they see any other drink as a threat... only other types of whisky (unless of course everyone stopped drinking whisky and started drinking brandy or something else instead).

I think there always has, and probably always will be, a "healthy"[1] trade in whisky.

[1] - Depends on your point of view I guess
