Bottomless Tin of Paint!!

I have been putting undercoat onto the woodwork in the rooms that are finished.
We bought B&Q own brand trade white undercoat. 2.5 litre tin.
If you count each coat as a seperate door side, I have painted 13 door sides, all the skirtings and architrave in the bedroom, twice and all the skirtings and architrave in the long corridor.

And have used less than half a tin !!! I have put it on quite liberally as the new wood was soaking it up very quickly. Amazing stuff. Lets hope I do as well when I start on the gloss paint tomorrow lol

We had to take a tin of B&Q's own paint back one time... no matter how we painted we couldn't get rid of the joins in the paint at all... they stuck out like a sore thumb. Decided to do a quick test on the fireplace wall and it took somewhere in the region of 6 or 7 coats going over it very quickly each time to get shot of the joins... no way I was doing that for the whole room.

Took it back and swapped for another tin of a more well known make and it went on perfectly in a oner... never bought "cheap" paint since. Always stuck with Crown/Dulux paints... worth paying the extra IMO for the ase they go on with.
