Birth announcementHappy to announce early but safe arrival of my first grandchild, Heather Isobel on 3rd March 2009 at 2111hrs. 4 weeks early so a teeny 5lbs 7oz but both my daughter and Heather are doing fine. Sara's husband Jamie hasn't stopped grinning.

Yeah, make sure you don't sit on <points> THAT chair... they've all been sitting on it so it's obviously blessed/cursed

I am 'Oma Jo' - its german/dutch for grandmother - we chose that as Heather will be growing up in N Germany and will likely call me that anyway.
Plus its like waaaay cooler than 'gran' 
Thank you so much for all your kind thoughts/words. They were discharged from the hospital this afternoon so its now going to be four whole days before I see them again
