Apple Sauce questionCan I bottle home made apple sauce? Run out of room in the freezer.
If I do, will it need bottling like veg (i.e. boiling in the jar) or like chutney (seal jar when hot and that's it?).
Help appreciated.

I bottle apple puree like veg. Have done it just the jam or chutney way, but it doesn't keep for long. WOuld probably be OK if you just want it to keep for a few weeks.

Might do a jar or 2 the jam way and the rest the boiled way - that way I can compare the methods and keeping times

I did that a few years ago...... in jam jars....... and it so worked... kept for ages... unopened!
