Aberdeen Open Doors

Doors Open Days in Aberdeen is a great way to find out about the hidden heritage on your doorstep. This is your opportunity to see behind the scenes of everyday buildings as well as important landmarks. And all for free!

suttie centre at the foresterhill site

I can recommend the new suttie centre at the foresterhill site if you like new buildings. I went on a tour there the other day. It won an award from BRE for sustainability and is very good. The view from the roof terrace is great. The building is clad in untreated western red cedar, rainwater flushed toilets, passiv solar gain and storage.

once the building opens properly then it will be harder to see everything so the open day is ideal.

p.s most of the labs should be open so you can see the hitech sim man used for medic training. I think only the anatomy will be closed (for obvious reasons!).
