8pm tonight (26th October) BBC2- Coal house at war- there's the third part of an excellent series called "Coal house at war" on at 7pm on BBC2 tonight (last week's is probably on iplayer) which is a programme taking modern families to live in WW2 conditions for a month in a Welsh terrace - men going down the pit, the wives at the armaments factories, and features things like their diet, clothes, heating (or lack of it), and general way of life - it's quite an eye-opener!

Is that BBC for the whole of UK or just for your region?
My son is doing WWII so if it's available here iplayer may be better for him

I honestly don't know if it's a regional thing, but it really is worth seeking out, especially for any budding historians!

We watched it this morning...brillant, thank you for posting it.
My son had read about the things it was showing but seeing them put the reading into perspective for him.
Have downloaded part 3!

It's so nice to see kids running about, and jumping into puddles rather than being stuck on Playstation thingummyjigglers - really glad you enjoyed it, I think it's excellent TV, and the people in it come over as really nice and "warm"
