oh poor you JoH.
we have strong winds and sleet at the mo, but although there was a cloud that threatened snow...nothing came of it, and it stayed dry.

Tues jan 20th, hen house frozenNo snow here but minus three according to car thermometer, the block that keeps my hen house gate shut has frozen to floor again. Usually a kettle sorts it out but it hasn't. I had to open their door to let them out with stick through wire, threw pasta and bread scraps in and some hen food. Can't get water in, one of the bird feeders elsewhere in garden was frozen bird seed block, threw that it, may keep the amused, it's got sun flower seeds in. Going to have to keep trying all morning. Probably no eggs today, got 4 from the 9 hens yesterday, best day yet and sure one could be a double yoker - it's massive!
