I never had mice in the house until I got a cat haha
I remember watching one cat that I had, trying to retrieve her prey. We had that clear plastic runner stuff to protect the carpet in the doorway and the mouse had run underneath it. Kept her amused for ages trying to figure out how top catch this mouse that she could see and not get to lol _________________ Sassinak

Since my kittens aren't allowed out yet, they have to find other victims than mice... The other day, they were trying to "hunt" a slug that had somehow found it's way into the kitchen. Somewhat slow for a game... _________________ Ina |

When i had my cat, he always brought in birds, mice etc sometime which weren't quite dead yet. But the worst was trying to catch the big blackbird that he took in and left flying around the house. It's a cat thing. Presents I think they call them, whether they are still wriggling or not. _________________

I know they're doing it to be nice, a bit like when your children draws pictures at school and takes them home as a present for you, but really.........!!!! _________________ In a perfect world, every dog would have a home and every home would have a dog |

The problem of trying to say "Oh that is a lovely picture, what is it?" without hurting feelings.
Although my 2 year old grandaughter drew a squiggle the other day which she showed to mum and proudly announced "Cat". I went a week later and held up same picture (?) and asked what it was and it was still a cat, so it presumably is recognisable by her. I think I'm glad that I don't see the world through the eyes of a child lol _________________ Sassinak

Ok Ok ...whos hidden the camera!! this must be wind up kimmie day from an animals point of view!!
first the cat and her bleeding mouse, which i got out of the house after chasing and hunting it for an hour!
Then george one of our chickens went missing..we only have 7 chickens....only to turn up 3 hours later after much searching the shrubs, in the hen house, hidden cause she wanted to lay an egg!
Now Kay, another chicken decided that she wasnt going back to the hen house when it was time to lock up....i ended up chasing her all over the garden, paddock, up and down the lane, round the back of the barn with a fishing net!! when i got one of my wellies stuck in mud, my net got tangled in the wire fencing, and she disappeared!! think i have lost her to another farm!! i know she shot through the fencing...but then simply vanished!!! been looking for her for a couple of hours!! am cold!!...but hey i got my electric fence fixed aswell!! lol _________________ http://goatherd.myfreeforum.org/index.php
