just for the record that wood recyclability is 1 mile east of Pitmedden so unfortunately some distance from Inverurie if you are looking for it and was surprisingly difficult to find when I was looking for it last time.

I get my fence posts from one of two places. Unfortunately I can't remember their names.
Either, the saw mill just north of gartley, heading towards Huntly, you'll come to a bend with a sign for it and you turn left and drive up in to the hills. I don't think the saw mill has a sign when you get there, but there are a group of houses and there is usually wood and stuff outside it.
The other one is just north of Huntly, after the road works, after the turning for the B9022, I think the sign post is for Ord Brae, it looks like the road goes towards a cottage, but instead of turning off to the cottage, go straight on in to the woods and you'll see lots of wood. The old guy is usually in the house hidden along the track.
I'm not sure how much use this is....
