I would also add that even then you have to be careful esp if its not organic. Growing it yourself is obviously good for the things that you can grow but I reckon the only thing we are self sufficient in is Chillies!

it will be interesting , most of this food is a chemical concoction, when you look at the fields there grown in, no nutrients or minerals, it may as well be polystyrene chips instead of soil for all the goodness, give each planyt the equivelent of so much of nitrogen and whatever else, spray the pests with another chemical, as i said just chemical concoctions, if they stopped feeding and killing bugs the soil would be dead and unable to grow hardly anything, not without a decade of hard work building it up organically again.
