My fingers have just started itching to do some crafting now the nights are drawing in.

Have you any projects planned, or ones you want to finish? I'm hoping to work on the squares Mar sent me and make a most marvellous golden (and cream) blanket to languish under over winter.

Still campaigning against Trump, I'm afraid; writing a book about a naughty little person called Tiggles; making pretty jewellery from semi-precious stones; and wanting to spin/crochet a nice cosy shawl for the winter evenings.

I've gone back to my art classes and am writing my family history, insofar as I know it.

I've got my workshop at the top of the garden up and running and its fab..

Have been making loads of cards lately, got a new card making blog up and running and also in the process of getting an online handmade card shop on the go too

I reckon it'll be a fab crafty time now the nights are drawing in ...

I also want to knit myself a scarf ....I really really really want to learn to crochet too

Also want to start making my own christmas cards, gift bags and tags

You really should Townie...it's much easier than it looks when you get started.

Love the sound of everyones crafty projects. I want to get better at spinning so i can have a go at the 'long draw'...think that's what it's called. Looked amazing when Julie showed me.

I'm still mourning the summer a bit...my favorite season by far...yet  seeing the leaves falling and the nights darkening makes me think of long cosy crafting evenings. Lovely.

I think autumn is almost my favourite season - I'm not a hot weather person and I love the crisp mornings.  Also collecting things off trees - nuts etc., fruit.  But perhaps every season is a delight when things change from one to another.  I love the thought that Christmas is coming up - not all the commercial stuff, but the tradition and crafts etc.

I'm starting an OU photography course - and really looking forward to it. I LOVE this time of the year, autumn really is the best for me. Especially when we get some lovely mellow sunshine like we've had over the last few days.

I've started crocheting a shawl for my mum for C********. Yesterday it looked like this:

It's a bit bigger now (but not much coz I ripped back about 4 rows to correct a mistake!)

This is the pattern

Can you hear the ooooh's and ahhhh's from over here? I'm inspired by all this talk of crochet...shawl looks lovely Jaydee....must get the hook out again real soon.

Wow for the course WG - good for you! And may i say (probably not, but here goes anyway) about time happy snappy lady!

Forgot to say i've started to learn the fiddle. Only 2 month and still very scratchy...but loving it. Just wish, like most of us, that there were more hours in the day for all the things i like doing, and an extra few hours in bed too.
