Watched it today at the cinema.

Definitely an 18!

I had my doubts about this 'cos a film could never catch the dark under current and cynicism of the original book.  But it did a good job.  It definitely is an 18.
Its not a happy film.  Its not superman or fantastic four.  But it is funny.  Although, I was the only one chuckling in the cinema.  My favourite line is when Rorschach is in prison and he says "You don't get it!  I'm not stuck in here with you, you're stuck in here with me."

can you tell I'm a fan?

It definitely did capture the cynicism and dark undercurrent didn't it!!!! I doubt I'll ever look at a superhero the same way especially after the 'the war is over, we need to talk' bit in Vietnam...

I laughed at the Galle crater making an appearance. Nice tie-in

yeah the crater bit was good.  There was a couple of references to the smilie face symbol through out the film.

It thought it was pretty bad when Dr Manhatten was walking through the paddy fields disposing of the viet cong in spectacular fashion.

The comedian is a complete bar-steward though.

Yes, Manhattan style disposals were probably the most shocking parts of the film. One particular scene with the forearm hanging from the ceiling was almost a hide-behind-the-hands job for me.

Anyway we're spoiling it for anyone going to see it LMAO!!
