sounds like one of the good ones! - let's hope they don't swap the episode at the last moment for one of the dire ones........ (the Nouveau-Richards with loadsamoney, not a shred of taste, and a liking for clinical and concrete....) where the pushy madam of the couple is shrilly supervising the build, and by half way through the programme you're praying that someone on the team will snap, and a pair of (occupied) fat flowered wellies will be found protruding from the concrete one morning........... _________________ http://solarwind.org.uk |

Absolutely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And don't forget each room (11) is the size of a cathedral and it's built for two!

See I thought you were gonna finish that sentence a little differently... thought you were going to say half way thru' the program the woman suddenly finds out that although they are stretching themselves to the limit financially and emotionally... she still seems to think it's the best time in the world to have a BABY... while living in a run down caravan on site.
Well... it's what seems to happen in more than 50% of builds on that programme I've found |

How did I forget? I suppose you can only be stunned so many times before it starts to take permanent effect!

T'was grand indeed - including the credit card limit
Just found this on my web mooching and thought of this thread. The best grand design I've seen - although I can't claim to have watched many. Ben Law - who now runs permaculture courses too. Not much guesswork needed to know what I was mooching around for.

In the early days I started a folder in my ENORMOUS favourites ( the section I freak over when a computer dies) called Maria's links. Then I started another called Maria's Greens. Then it split into more useable sections, peak oil etc. Now I've started Permaculture which until now was in Greens, Energy, Transition etc.
Maria, you are my Favourite Favourite filler. I just feel bad as you were trawling while I watche Dig for Victory (taped) with chocolate and feet up and the last AND THE ONLY ONE I'VE MANAGED TO TAPE. Grow your own Drugs. I want that book! Better for my sieve of a brain anyway.

I *really* enjoyed his build. Similar to the re-visit last week, he was able to do so much with the wood he was able to put his hands on. Only thing that was annoying to me, was that during the programme they said that the house could be lived in by HIM and HIM alone, in that when he retired or died (I guess) the house would have to be ripped down, which I thought was mad. |
