A canvas born to mortal man
A natural birth, all in the plan.
An untouched piece its colours bare,
A beauty to show for all to share.

An altered piece, a few years old,
Its colours rich and message bold.
The eyes still pure, the dreams still clear
The canvas shouts for all to hear.

The colours bright, it lives on time,
A mortal life; like yours and mine.
A day will come, the colours gone
The brightest light of life is shone.

The edges worn, the colours grey,
Its age is old, its darkest day.
A canvas rich in lives full story,
Has lived its life in all its glory.

Definitely, read all three you posted tonight and they are all pretty good.

Cool talent to have to be able to put stuff into words like that, same goes for the folk that can make stuff on here... I'm lucky if I can draw the curtains

Reminds me of The picture of Dorian Gray. His portrait grew old while he stayed young and handsome.
