|
|
Anyone got any tried and tested remedies. I've had a really bad sore throat with tender swollen glands since Saturday, combined with a total lack of energy, shivers, a few sneezes and headaches on and off.
Is there anything that might help ease the symptoms/speed recovery? _________________ Neeps Flickr Group - check out some of the fab photos from other Neepsters and share some of your own. |

I'm not worried about the smell - will leave that for other people to worry about LOL. I did have raw onions and raw garlic earlier but not with honey - and haven't any echinacea - will try the garlic and honey though!
Thanks for that link SH! _________________ Neeps Flickr Group - check out some of the fab photos from other Neepsters and share some of your own. |

At risk of being beaten by the moral high ground.....
If you are presenting with flu like symptoms you really need to call your doctor to report it.
However to be honest it sounds like glandular fever, once again you need to see your GP, at home to prevent spreading the infection.

i didnt think of that, with you going to the tin hut, was there any one from the mexico direction there, or with those sort of contacts perhaps you should at least phone the dr and see what they say, |

LOL I don't think that it would work quite that quickly. I'll give the doc a call in the morning if I'm not feeling any better. _________________ Neeps Flickr Group - check out some of the fab photos from other Neepsters and share some of your own. |

Hot toddies and paracetamol work for me: whisky, honey, loads of lemon juice and hot water. Can be done in micro if you don't let it boil and evaporate that alcohol which should help you sleep
Or you could try my Gran's cure - she lived to be 94 - which requires a bottle of whisky and a top hat. Go to bed, place the top hat at the foot end of the bed. Imbibe until you can see more than 1 top hat. Sleep.
Hope you feel better soon, WG... _________________ “I was not. I have been. I am not. I do not mind.”
