It's a bit windy here - just checked the weather station & we had gusts of 50mph in the middle of the night and it hasn't been less than about 25mph since yesterday evening.
Mind - the Shetland heifers knew something was coming. Last evening, before it got dark, they trooped down from the upper field & went indoors into the cattleshed. As they haven't been indoors for weeks, I guessed that something dodgy was brewing. Later in the evening we had very strong winds & pouring rain - definitely not their favourite combination of weather.
Smart cows
Kind regards

it was very very windy on the top of our hill very gusty which is always worse! Ash the heifer survived fine, she shelters behind the old cottage in her field and it didnt rain much here, Rowan the cow was in so she was OK! But the remains of her straw bale supply blew away!
getting better today tho, nice and sunny and just blustery now...too windy for horseriding tho, think I'll move the sheep instead. _________________ Happiness is a Haflinger! |
