Great poem by a man who spent his life walking the fine line between genius and madness. _________________ Don't judge a book by it's cover. |

I used to have all his books of poetry until the fire :-(
The bit that really sticks in my mind is :
There are holes in the sky where the rain comes in,
The holes are small
So rain is thin !! _________________ Sassinak

I like his;
I must go down to the sea again,
the lonely sea and sky,
I left my vest and socks there,
I wonder if they're dry
Sorry, but I don't think that ning nang nong poem would have even been entertained by a publisher if Spike milligan wasn't famous, it's crap, imo. Not his best work _________________ It is better to light a candle than to rail against the darkness

I reckon if you were to look at the entire body of any writers work, a huge chunk of it would be unusable. We only get to read the best stuff as a rule. _________________ It is better to light a candle than to rail against the darkness

| I remember when the actor/comedian Duncan Macrae used to recite some McGonagall's poems on Hogmanay TV. |

Is that meant to be so funny or was he serious? _________________ It is better to light a candle than to rail against the darkness
