Another sunny start to the day - windy though and spits and spots of rain coming through on the chilly wind. There is a beautiful rainbow outside at the moment.

Update

It's now turned more showery and it is really cold out there. I went down to collect the post - THANKS for the paper Purpledragon - and my hands were like ice within seconds.

First thing this morning here it was cold, windy and lashing down with rain..

I'm at work now over in Edinburgh and the skies are now a lovely shade of blue, the sun is shining .. still windy and very very cold..

I'm sat at my desk here chilled to the bone, with both radiators on! hope i'm not coming down with something

Well, the weather here is much the same as everywhere else, but the sounds.

It is SO SO cold! I went out and bought myself one of those russian hats this morning - you know the ones with the ear flaps? It is dark blue wool with faux fur inside. Snuggly.

Lovely blue skies but there must be rain over on the next hill because there is a super full half circle rainbow. Unfortunately I can't get far away enough to get it all in a photo

Well, I think this last week has had a fairly sustained pattern. Lovely mornings followed by overcast, windy, rainy afternoons.

Tonight it is so windy outside that Laura (18kgs) nearly got blown over!

When I went out to put the hens away and check the bunnies, the sleet was like wee needles into my face.

It was horrible driving home through the north of England and most of Scotland last night.
The rain was torrential and there were a couple of really hairy moments whilst passing lorries when I couldn't see a thing for the water they threw over my screen.
I filled up at Cumbernauld, desperate for a pee, and was told the loos were flooded and out of use
By the time I reached Aberdeen the sky was clear and the stars were bright. It was still windy and very cold though. We do live in the best place I think - you can actually smell the cities and feel the lack of clean air when you try to breathe. Yep, glad to be home

Tell you what, it's pretty flippin wild out there tonight. I always think I've got everything secured, but I can hear something bashing around out the back.

When the car came back, the sleet was driving down and the wind was so fierce when i opened the front door it lifted the hatch on the downstairs attic, and nearly lifted a picture off the wall in the small hall.

BBrrr!! I'm away to snug up in bed

I've just waved goodbye to Ina who was here collecting her Suma stuff - it's much less wild out there now where we are, and not quite as cold either methinks, but that could be because the wind has died down a bit.
