Amazing morning after last nights wild and windy downpours.
The sun is splitting the sky and my windows look dreadful That is one problem with sunshine - they remind you to clean your windows
The sky is blue with very few clouds, and there is a light breeze - not enough to flutter the feathers on my hens. Not that they would know - they are inside the coop again - wusses!

Beautiful here too - sunny with a few clouds and a biting cold breeze. My chooks are out and about though - there isn't much that puts them off apart from driving rain and snow.

I hate wind. I can cope with pretty much every type of weather, as long as I'm properly kitted out, but wind makes me angry. Stupid response but there you go

I LOVE the wind - so long as I can actually stand up in it that is.

Yuck - it's wet and windy now and I can't see the hill from my kitchen window. Always looks odd when it disappears into the clouds.

The hill out the front or the one out the back?
We walked down today to collect the kids (while posting something in the letter box for WG ) and I wish I'd taken the car!
OH
MY
GOODNESS
it was absolutely freezing outside. I've been home for a good half hour and my ears are still feeling sore.

Good for you going out for a walk. I'm hoping for nice weather tomorrow so that I can go for a walk while J is at nursery. I do need the exercise.

Oh the beach - I love the sea. I stayed down in Brighton for a couple of years and the one thing I miss from down there is the sea. I'd love to live over on the west coast where they have that magical mixture of wild sea coasts and countryside.

Its lovely down here.. I guess we are spoiled a bit really..
We have the beach which is just a 5 mins walk down the road, we have the woods behind us.. and the fields and woods just a 10 min walk from the house.. plus loads of coastal path walks too.. ideal for kids and dogs..
I sometimes wonder what keeps tugging at my heartstrings to move somewhere remote and out the way a bit..
If we are lucky enough to get picked for Canna that would just be fantastic... but if not we have made the decision to move up north to the highlands.. Its gorgeous up there.. my sister used to live between Forres and Elgin or over to one of the Islands.. |
