YUCK!!!! What happened to the weather?? There was a nice sunrise this morning but it was obviously a case of red sky in the morning, sailor's warning.

Youngest is poorly with a bad cold and isn't fit to go to nursery today - a shame as the nursery is performing to the (what on earth are we allowed to call older folk these days???)

It's dreich out there today - the sort of rain that soaks you right through.

What's it like where you are??

Peterhead is getting a good old battering this morning, It's very windy, the hen shelter has blown over so they all ran into their sheds. The showers are hale and very strong i just had to block the cat flap off (no door it broke) cos the rain was coming in.
The wind is coming from the south cos it's hitting the front door head on and the letter box is about to be taped up too.
All animals are either in the hoose or in their sheds/hutch.
AND I'M BORED

We just bought a new catflap because our door had broken too - might as well just have blocked it off because the cat can't use it now - the dog often sticks her head through it to have a nosy outside though

The metcheck forecast reckons we'll have light snow this afternoon brrrrrr.

Is it just me or has the snow and cold weather come early this year?

I don't think so - but at least this time next year we'll be able to look back on the forum and have something to compare with.

It's pretty rotten here todayas well. We had the red sky first thing, and I thought at 9am I could hang out a load of laundry. Come about 9.20 I was back out rescuing it from the weather.

Quite blowy today, although not as bad as it *can* get. Cold. Grey skies. Light rain on and off.

Tracy - what do you use as a shelter for the hens? Mine seem to be 24/7 in the coop right now because it is too awful for them to come out. I'm worried to death because they can't stay in there till April
