Monkey Nuts gave us an old neep happer towards the end of last year. I refrubished it by replacing the worn bolts, ground rust off the blade, put a new edge on the blade, oiled the blade, lightly sanded the wooden horse it's bolted to, and rubbed a lot of boiled linseed oil into the wooden horse.

On Sunday, it was put to good use...

A big thanks to Monkey Nuts as the happer made the job a lot faster and a lot safer—even though the happer looks designed to amputate fingers it's better than using a hatchet or machete!

Oh, and I had a lot of pitying looks from older farmers for some reason...

Great re-furb - took me a bit of head scratching before i realized what you meant by wooden horse. But then i'm not the sharpest pencil in the pack.
