A great day out for all the family with lots to see and do. Marvel at the old motorbikes or James Bond's car or even take a look at the old push bikes and some of the eco cars.
We have recently bought a family membership, which at £45 for 2 adults and up to 3 children is great value - you only need to visit three times in the year to break even and the displays change from time to time too.
Some of the events are high octane and probably not what you would expect to see on a green forum such as ours, but they also hold eco days and one such event is coming up in September - The Horse Power and Family Fun day on Sunday 20th September 11 - 5 : Step back in time to the days before the motorcar. Recall the role of the working horse from Shetland Ponies to Clydesdales. Ride aboard historic carriages. Sample the delights of both traditional and modern day equestrian sprots. Watch strongman, Steve Evans, take on the heavies in the 'man against horse' competition'. Sit back and enjoy the carriage driving and logging demos, food, traders, children's entertainment and a mystery celebrity appearance makes this event a fantastic themed family day out. _________________ Neeps Flickr Group - check out some of the fab photos from other Neepsters and share some of your own. |

The Subaru guys had a day out at the GMM about a week ago... bit of an incident with a TVR not managing to make the corner though... apparently it made the evening express (not that I've seen it).
Normally any event at the GMM is a pretty good one though, was kinda disappointed I've missed a few of them there recently. |

I wondered if you'd be at the Subaru thingy. Could hear it all at my house!! _________________ In a perfect world, every dog would have a home and every home would have a dog |

I normally would have been... but this year it co-incided with my 10yr wedding anniversary... figured I wouldn't manage to have a day out on my own that weekend, and was fairly sure that the weekend we didn't have the kids, she wouldn't fancy being dragged out to a "car thing" all day either
With a mix of TVR, subaru, Evo, etc, it's no wonder you could hear it all day... TBH, it's odd that I didn't *MILES* away |
