This post was on Freecycle the other day - I thought I'd post it here too.
| Quote: | I have 10 copies of "The Open Disc" to give away. This CD ROM
contains various free open source software packages for Windows.
Contains OpenOffice, Firefox, Thunderbird, Audacity, VLC, Celestia,
GNUCash, PDFCreator and many more.
Alternatively download and burn your own copy from http://www.theopendisc.com/

I had an email back from Euan - at the time of reply, nobody had requested a CD ROM so he may well have some copies left.... it's easy enough to download, but if a CD would be useful then drop me a pm and I'll contact Euan to see if he's got any left. _________________ Neeps Flickr Group - check out some of the fab photos from other Neepsters and share some of your own. |

If you want free apps and the latest ones and you don't have time or the bandwidth to download, sometimes the best place to look is the magazine rack in the supermarket / newsagents, just have a look at any of the major "PC" mag's that are there, most do bundled disks with a similar list to the the 1 niceguyrichie posted..... just don't hang around too long you would not want to be picking up the geek label....... _________________ Allan.
