These meetings are open to anyone (you don't have to be a member of the society and I guess you don't have to have bees - would be good if you're thinking of getting some).
Dundee - Friends meeting rooms, 19th June at 19:30. Be there early if you want a seat! Please do tell any other beekeepers that they would be most welcome to come along.
There will be a similar event the previous day at Camserney Village Hall at 19:30, between Aberfeldy and Fortingall, should anyone prefer travelling in that direction.
Don't know if there is a similar event run by the Aberdeen society (would be surprised if there wasn't) - please can anyone involved with them post any details of such a meeting here.
This outbreak (suspected to be the result of lax inspection for many years) will be with us for some time. Next year may be the time when many of us discover that we are not immune, and it is likely that there will further flare-ups locally unless we can get the disease eliminated from all the places it may have reached.
