Not sure if its the right place for this but wanted to let everyone know.
Just discovered 'Foodstory' on Rose Street in Aberdeen. New startup cafe specialising in local and organic food. Most of the meat comes from Wark farm, scottish organic milk in coffee, bread from Loafface or Rosemount etc etc
Well worth a visit if in Aberdeen. Also open til 8pm Thurs and Fri which is a bonus, I always find it hard to find a decent cafe that is open after 5.

Hope I'll remember that until next time I'm in... Which may not be for another year or so! _________________ Ina |

Ive been having Quiche from foodstory recently and its been very good.
I then found out its made by Buchanan foods in Aboyne who do the slow food events so even better.
Its great to ask about where its comes from, the person selling it not only knows where is comes from but you then find out you know the people who make it as. I really like all the connections you make when buying local food.

Like the sound of this and will try to make a visit (If i'm ever in town)
Also if you're looking for a late night cafe, Kilau on little Belmont st (?) is often open til 11pm again a boost if you have to hang around for a reason but don't want a pub. |
