I've jsut watched the most beautiful film I've ever seen. It's called Home and is by Yann Arthus-Bertrand. It's entirely aerial photography of more than 50 countries, with a voice over about the wonders of our planet and the destruction being wreaked, lots of astonishing statistics, ending with some suggestions of what we as individuals can do, especially in terms of being a responsible consumer.
Unfortunately the film's only in French at the moment, but its simple message and stunning photography make it very powerful and I'm sure it'll soon be translated -I'm thinking Anthony Hopkins for the narration! |

Sounds good - is it available online? It would need subtitles for me to understand the French though _________________ Neeps Flickr Group - check out some of the fab photos from other Neepsters and share some of your own. |

I think it was originally made for free distribution online, though it's now on DVD
The link I have is
www.home-2009.com ( I'm not sure if it works becauseI can't download anything, but that maybe because of my incredibly slow internet connection. ) No subtitles yet, though, sorry -but beautiful pictures!
I'll let you know if /when the English version comes out |
