If you ever want a special meal in the Oldmeldrum/Ellon area, do try Eat on the Green at Udny Green

We have eaten there about six times and it has been superb every single time. The chef/proprietor is a great guy too and has won a lot of awards.

They do a good lunch deal, the quality is exactly as good as the a la carte
Wednesday – Friday
2 Courses £18.95
3 Courses £21.95
Sunday
2 Courses £22.95
3 Courses £27.95

Obviously its not cheap and not for everyday but it is fantastic for a special meal!

We had wondered about eating there one time before, but a quick look at the menu and we didn't think that the kids would eat any of it (wasn't that sure about it myself

)

Have heard good reports about it from other people though, so it must be fairly decent (as long as you aren't picky

)

Have tended to eat more at the Redgarth in 'meldrum, nice food there and not too bad priced (although nowhere is really cheap now).

its funny, Ive had lots of things I 'dont like' at eat on the green and when they cook the ingredient I have liked all of them, I think they are sorcerers! But thats not to say that would convince a wee un!
