Just to add to the high esteem in which I hold Ubuntu, I found a link to "digikam" - http://www.digikam.org/, and thought "that looks a bit tasty"- it's not listed on the usual add/remove list, so I took the bull by the horns and thought I'd try out a bit of hardcore Linuxing........ opened a terminal, and typed something after the fashion of " gksudo apt get install digikam"......... much to my amazement, it went ahead, downloaded and installed it.......
Just been "playing" with it - can't recommend it too highly - incredibly fast, and just prodding the "oh you do it" colour optimisation button produces simply stunning results.... if you're in the land of Linux, well worth a twirl! _________________ http://solarwind.org.uk |
