Well, it looks like it is our turn today! I wondered why it was still so dark when I got up this morning - surely the Solstice would make it a bit lighter?

Opened the curtains to take an aerial view of yesterdays planting - thick FOG! It has already burned off up the back garden and up the hill, but it is still slowly burning away down the front towards the valley. Can't see the village at all yet.

Looking down over the village is weird. You have the green grass from our front garden, then a layer of bluey-grey fog, they a layer of pink fog (from the sunrise I suppose) then a layer of white fog. Quite sppoky actually.

I just glanced out the window, and the fog is still sitting in the valley obscuring the village, but the top of the opposite hill was showing over the top of the fog. Looked like a floating farm!

We noticed the same thing this morning. The Staff of Ythsie is on the hill opposite our hill with the river and village between. All we could see from the upstairs window was our garden then thick white fog and the Staff floating like an island...really cool!

Very dull and grey here today. But...no fog!

A bit warmer...4.2 degrees at 12.00 midday.

I took a load of pix, which I am hoping will come out quite well - we shall see - my camera can be a bit tempramental.

I have a great pic somewhere (pre-digital) of Glastonbury Tor rising above a sea of fog. Well mystical.

No fog but everywhere white. The frost has not given all day and outside tap is frozen. Had to bring the watering can inside to fill so I could give the poultry drinks - I think about 4 trips to the kitchen sink. It all looks very Christmassy (there is no such word but it is very descriptive)
