My brother's birthday and I've forgotten the card (again) - ahh well, thank goodness for e-cards and the telephone
It's a beautiful morning - everywhere is white and frosty and you can stand outside and pretend to be dragons because of the 'smoke' coming from your mouth when you breathe out. It's just perfect for the time of year, and according to the Metcheck forecast it's going to be the same tomorrow too.
We've had to put off planting our trees though, but we've got lots of other things to keep us busy (and WARM) - I think we might just try out some of Ina's recipes and heat up a bottle of Norfolk Punch this afternoon.

A beauty of a day! Cold but the sky is blue and the sun is out.
Temperature is 8 degrees at 1pm. TROPICAL!

Brrrr... we've got 3 degrees here - it's not white any more and we've got little puddles of water dripping down... happens everytime our metal roof gets frosted.

Cold again here this evening, as I expect it is with most of you. The frost started to form pretty much as the sun went down - must remember to buy a new scraper for the car!!!!!!
David managed to get quite a bit done on the fencing and chicken house!!
I want a beginners style chicken house that I can make myself - I've never been particularly handy in that way but would actually like to try my hand at it without asking David to help (recipe for disaster I reckon) - besides, it would be nice if it were a surprise
Any hints and tips welcome

I have no idea how to build a chooks house. I'd love some chickies but we really have a small garden and would't know where to put them
It's down to 5 degrees here...I've only stepped out of the house once today to get to the post office...there was a huge queue and it's a tiny place!
Been in looking after the little one...full of cold...sore throat etc. I hope we have a better night tonight...the old man is home and doesn't have to get up in the morning...lay in...HOORAY! |
