Miserable day. Had to walk the boy to school this morning, and I have a headache. One of the nasty ones. Thought the fresh air would give me some relief - fat chance

Anyway - it was raining and cold and a bit windy. it is still raining, cold and a bit windy. The sky is low and the tops of the hills are misty.

Sigh - thermals out, methinks.

Weatherwise the same here. Can't see Finella (which is the hill right next to us). It's raining, the yard has turned itself into a loch again, which means that my garage is likely to be flooded, too, and I need wellies just to get into the house...

Oh well, can't have it fine at all times, can we?

What size feet do you have Werain??

Wet here too but not too cold - 7 degrees outside according to the thermometer. Mind you, I've been rearranging the furniture again so I'm pretty warm at the moment.

Same in Perthshire, although the wind dropped after 36 hours of blowing a hooligan and one 2 hour power cut across the surrounding area.

Gone warmer here but it's still raining... now at 10 degrees. The wind has dropped a bit too.

Dull, dull, dull, dull....along with a dull headache too PD. I can't shake it either! Perhaps it's something in the air eh?

It's windy and there's light showers.Nothing hectic, but some sunshine would be good.

Outside temp 12.8 degs at 1.30pm.

I get one of these headaches at least once a week, Shiney, unfortunately. Getting a bit fed up with them, really, now.

I've got a pair of size 6 if you want them... they were initially given to me by Pauline and have steel toe caps but I find them uncomfortable and will just put up with the goats stepping on my toes

Yeah - I was going to ask your size, too - but this b*** thing wouldn't let me earlier on... We have a range of second hand wellies, which are vastly underused. But you wouldn't get mine too soon - might come up north visiting in the hols, though!

Anyway - according to the weatherforecast on radio this lunchtime it's dry here compared to the west of Scotland!

The wind has really picked up here the last hour or so, but at least it is drying the ground out.

Hiya Triumph

Good to see you!

The wind has picked up here too - I was just chatting on the phone and apparently it will be 40 mph tomorrow.

Let's just hope that it stays dry.

Hiya WildGarlic, thanks for the friendly reply. I do pop on most days, but only really post if I have something to say!

I would imagine it is gusting at over 40mph at the moment out there, but we are really exposed, I am just about to go and tuck the horses up for the night hopefully I will not get blown away!

The wind here is already above 40mph and has been for most of the day. Driving the Landies is hazardous, while if I'd had the trike out for a test run it would have been interesting.

Mind you, that's fairly typical wind speeds for here.

Reading about the exposed areas makes me realise just how sheltered we are here most of the time.

Hope the horses are settled Triumph... and that you didn't get blown away

Stoney - has the trike arrived??
