Great feature on the Aberdeenshire website - check out the current weather across the region and see the 48 hour and 7 day forecasts too.

They've got the whole weeks weather on there... as to how accurate it is I dunno. I know the Met Office's stuff is fairly accurate but even they get it wrong a few days into it (sometimes it's not right that long )

It's not clear to me whether the council's weather is from the Met Office or the Meteogroup (Press Association). I find that the Met Office are not particularly good in comparison to some of the private companies who work for business interests such as WNI who do the weather for oil companies and used to provide the North Tonight weather and was much more accurate.

cheers

Actually we use the Met Office for supplying the pilots with weather for flying offshore. It's quite accurate at the time... just don't know how good they can predict it.

I don't think it is possible to predict it with any degree of accuracy... I find that the Met Office (which is the one I look at every day!) get the general gist of it OK, but the details are not that great. But what do you expect? There are massive differences in the weather between places around here that are only a couple of miles apart - so it really is just luck whether your place is the one they've got right!
