Here's Jonny Bartons house in progress. If you haven't been following this...more details can be found on the 'meet up details' thread. Thanks to Maidenstone for providing pictures. [edited to say...more pics available on page 4 of strawbale 'meet up details' thread.]
Foundations completed. Supporting wood will be removed when the windows are in and walls are completed.
First 2 rows of bales.

Thinking about it - supports might be there until the roof goes on on Best get myself back there on saturday for some more training.
Anyone interested can help/observe the build this sat (10th oct) from 9am. _________________ Better late than never! |

Maria they were not supports they were guides to stop us making the walls bigger at the top than the bottom apprenty 9 out of 10 have bigger walls at the top than the bottom and the roof wont fit so they have to re do things to make it fit hopefully this will prevent that _________________ why do feet smell and noses run?

It is looking so good now, what an advance after the weather on saturday. I have everything crossed for the weather to stay fine for the rest of jonny's build _________________ The only reason for time, is to stop everything happening at once. |

Ooops - meant to say guides - thanks for correction Andy. They don't take any weight so how could they be supports? Doh. Still don't know when they're removed though...can anyone remember? Bugging me now. _________________ Better late than never! |
